Upskill Your Organisation

The opportunities presented by new technologies such as AI and platforms such as ServiceNow call for upgraded skills right across your organsation.

Whilst some of these are to do with the technology itself, any partner needs to be able to:

  • lead their customer or prospective customer to seeing the 'art of the possible' through their own business lens

  • clearly articulate how such newer technologies will offer the organisation significant business benefits

  • coach their customer (and maybe their own internal organisation) on how to speak the langauge of 'service', as this is what the customer buys!

Experience shows that many 'Service' Partner organisations have been very good at base core platform technology skills especially as they relate to IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) but they haven't kept up with other enterprise service domains, such as Customer Service, HR Service, Field Service, Shared Services, Security Operations, Facilities Service etc.

Nor have they grown their skills base to include softer skills and more business oriented skills, such as business analysis, service strategy development, operating model considerations.

In order to grow their sales revenue, Partners will now have to focus on identifying their own skills gaps and developing a plan to fill these gaps, whether through full-time or contingent resourcing. After all, the market opportunity is too great to miss out on.
